Congratulations to President-elect Barack Obama and his supporters on a truly historic election victory. While I may disagree with his political philosophy, I appreciate the significance of this event, and I wish him well. There will be plenty of time down the road for fighting the battle of ideas that are part of living in a democracy, but for now, we can take a deep breath and thank God we live in a country where we are free to choose our leaders, and transitions in power are peaceful.
